Okay no discussion on milk – Just cookies! When you are not baking from scratch or from a box, there is the convenience of picking up a package of Gluten Free cookies ready to devour.
Above are a few of my recent delights. The list of GF cookies is ever growing. While I thoroughly enjoy the Walmart brand, Great Value, sandwich cookies that reminded me of Oreos, then Oreos came out this year with a Gluten Free version — even with double stuff! Delicious too and often on sale. You may soon notice that I am a chocoholic, so I need to mention that the Walmart sandwich cookies also come in vanilla.
Shortbread cookies, always a favorite for me, are satisfying with the Pamela brand. When I am not indulging in chocolate or shortbread, the Glutinous Lemon wafers are a treat but they come in other flavors too. The Colombian GF wafers was surprisingly found in a Dollar General store for just $2.00 a package. How easy are these individual “go packs” ready for a lunchbox or handy snack. Occasionally gluten free can be found when you least expect it. Lastly, the CocoRolls with my morning coffee was an indulgence I missed. I can’t remember where I found them and I have not found them again in my usual shopping ventures. For me, they are worth trying to find again.
In my opinion, from me who prefers to cook from scratch, these and other cookies I’m sure take the sting out of being gluten free; especially for children. Again, I remind you that I am not endorsing any products but letting you know that there is gluten free convenience and yumminess around you.
My sweet tooth often demands attention! Too often I give in to that demand.
