Taste for Fried Fare – Monday Convenience

Before my GF intolerance but during my continued “healthier food” choices, I enjoyed fried chicken and fish every 4 to 6 weeks. Sometimes I prepared it in my kitchen or from a fast food establishment. Even so, I missed fried food once being GF intolerance. Delightful was me finding these Gluten Free substitutes for a variety of creations (such as buttered crumbs over your mac and cheese).

Of course, there are packages on the market that accomplish getting that “fried” objective straight out of the box – following their instructions.

While there are lots of “fried” suggestions for creating the best coating for GF recipients, here is my simple suggestion that has created the best results having me not longing for the wheat infuse fried food.

I mix 1/2 of each product (or similar product of your choosing); with poultry seasoning (or fish seasoning), paprika, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Coat poultry (or fish) in an egg batter or buttermilk mixture. Then coat with the crumbs. Fry in your choice of oil. Drain on paper towels. DELICIOUS!
