Quickie Snack – Friday Etcetera

You are busy running errands and are out and about. Perhaps you didn’t take the time to eat or eat enough before venturing out. You can’t stop and get fast food (fried and wheat laden) because you are gluten-free. You are hungry and require something besides a bottle of water to tide you over until you can have a proper meal.

I stay out of trouble utilizing the modern gasoline stations. You know the ones with a lot of selection often with hot food stations too. An inexpensive, satisfying “tie me over” food choice is like the one pictured above. It is packed with protein – a deliciousness in the form of a meat, cheese and nuts. They are bite size pieces so you can continue to be productive in your endeavors and settle your stomach’s need for nutrition.

The package, however, does NOT say GF. Upon reading the ingredients, there is no wheat suspect plainly visible. Remember too that often these larger gasoline stations now offer apples, oranges and or bananas. Don’t forget your bottle of water! Stay Gluten-free.
