Mardi Gras GF King Cake – Friday Etcetera

It’s coming soon! Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday” that reflects the practice of the last night of eating rich, fatty foods before the ritual Lenten sacrifices and fasting of the Lenten season begins.

Yummy – King Cake!

March 1, 2022 is “Fat Tuesday” but note the celebration runs from February 23 to March 1, 2022. Mardi Gras and Carnival are used interchangeable denotes parties and parades. They are colorful with costumes and beads! Included during this season is the famous “King Cake” – These cakes are not generally gluten-free.

I came across a couple of bakeries offering gluten-free King Cakes. I have not yet tried their products but let me know if you do.
