Metro Diner was first opened here in Jacksonville, Florida in 1938; but officially branded in 1992 as the Metro Diner. Today, Metro Diner has over 50 locations in 12 states. Hence why I am sharing this information.
Metro Diner is now offering “gluten-friendly” meals. Note the term “gluten-friendly” and not gluten-free. As discussed previously in the IHOP blog, it is that these meals are prepared in the kitchen where wheat products exists. Therefore, this situation could be harmful to those with celiac disease.
