Eventbrite is an online American event management and ticketing website. The service allows users to browse, create, and promote local events. The service charges a fee to event organizers in exchange for online ticketing services, unless the event is free. Users (potential participants) of the online site discover a wealth of events from concerts to art museums; also food banks to online and onsite classes – and a lot in between. The costs range from free to usually minimal fees.
Recently, while looking for events to attend, I put in gluten-free (it’s out of habit of course). This time the search revealed only a few events. Several were located in Europe and one in Hong Kong. There were two onsite classes of particular interest to me. One was the gluten-free bread making although I have a very good recipe that requires no kneading. The other class was the gluten-free pasta making; no pasta machine required. Each weekly GF pasta making class presents a different shaped pasta. I wish they were online presentations too.
I signed up for one online class from the Spatansburg, SC hospital center coming up at the end of July. The point of this blog is an introduction to other sources of gluten-free resources. Gluten-Free is all around us!
